A Nosak Group company, refining vegetable oil in Apapa since construction began in 2010.
It started with a farm that outgrew its crusher.
Nosak Farm Produce began with a plan to optimise the 1,300-hectare oil palm farm at Saturn Farms Limited (Nosak Farms) in Benin, with an estimated 105,882 fresh fruit bunches a year.
The first plan was to build a refinery on the farm. Research showed the plantation alone could not feed a refinery, so we needed additional crude palm olein. That led us to Apapa, with direct port access and a 3-kilometre pipeline from ABTL to Alapata by Waziri Jetty.
Today we operate a 200-tonne, fully automated plant with 12 tanks holding 2.7 million litres, and we are expanding towards 1,000 tonnes per day.
